At 11:43 PM, the lights went out. Fifteen minutes later, they returned. Lord Edmund Blackwood was dead.
He was found inside his locked study. The door was locked. The window was locked.
Four people were inside the manor. Earlier that evening, Lord Blackwood had made one announcement:
βAt midnight, I will reveal the truth about Thomas Vale.β
Nobody knew what that meant. But before midnightβsomeone made sure he would never speak again.
Your mission: Find the killer.
π CASE FILES β Case 404: The Silence of Blackwood Manor
THE VICTIM
Lord Edmund Blackwood (Age 62, Industrialist, Status: Dead)
Lord Blackwood was wealthy, powerful, and feared. Twenty-five years earlier, a factory worker named Thomas Vale died in a supposed accident at Blackwood Industrial Works. Tonight, Lord Blackwood planned to reveal the truth. He never got the chance.
Cause of Death
Poisoning. The poison: Aconitine.
THE SECRET
A partially burned letter was found in the fireplace. Only one sentence could be read: βYou took everything from me.β
Another document revealed that Lord Blackwood was planning to change his will. His nephew, Julian, would inherit nothing. Someone else would receive everything.
π EVIDENCE β Case 404: The Silence of Blackwood Manor
01 β THE POISONED DRINK π₯
Aconitine was found in Lord Blackwood's brandy glass. But the bottle itself was clean. The poison was added after the drink was poured.
02 β THE SECOND GLASS π΅
An empty glass was found nearby. It contained traces of sugar and lavender. Only one suspect was known to regularly use lavender sugar.
03 β THE BROKEN WATCH β
Lord Blackwood's pocket watch was found beneath his desk. It stopped at 11:47 PM because it struck the floor during a struggle.
04 β THE CLEAN KEY π
The study door was locked from the inside. The key was found on the floor, but it was completely clean despite the dusty floor.
05 β THE FOOTPRINT π£
A footprint was found outside the study window, but heavy rain had been falling for hours. The footprint was completely dryβit was planted.
06 β THE COAT BUTTON π
A button matching Julian's coat was found beneath the desk, but the attached thread was dry. Was Julian inside, or was someone framing him?
